RP Professional Services, LLC (RP) proudly highlights Michael Hartnett’s involvement with Veterans Health – MIT Hacking Medicine 2024. This first-of-its-kind event was launched by Tampa VA, along with VHA Innovation Ecosystem, Microsoft, and MIT in order to design solutions to the top challenges facing Veteran health care. This is a cause that aligns closely with not only our company’s mission, as an SDVOSB, but also Michael’s own status as a United States Marine Corps Veteran.  

Michael joined other innovators, makers, scientists, nurses, doctors, entrepreneurs, programmers, engineers, researchers, artists, UX and CX designers to take steps towards completely reimagining the future of Veteran health care. The “hackers” utilized their eclectic skills set to find ways to revolutionize the care that will be provided for veterans moving forward.  

The attendees were selected through a nationally competitive process that ensured a diversity of background and expertise. The Hackathon event spanned over the course of three days, in which teams used generative AI tools provided by Microsoft and de-identified data from the VA to create solutions that addressed critical challenges set forth in VA’s Priorities to Action (P2A).
