RP is thrilled to have our very own Chief Operating Officer, Nathan Kreoger, honored with Washington Business Journal’s prestigious LGBTQ+ Business Award. This award recognizes business leaders and corporations raising the bar to advance LGBTQ+ equality and leadership in the workplace.  

Nate’s pioneering efforts in creating The Werk Room, a quarterly event designed to offer greater access to the government contracting (GovCon) industry for LGBTQ+ individuals, was one element that Washington Business Journal took into consideration in choosing him for this award. At the Inaugural Werk Room Event, Nate’s outreach to LGBTQ+ ERGs across industry and government led to the event being sold out three times, with active participation from over 12 federal agencies and 85 companies. Nate has since coordinated a second Werk Room event, in May of 2024, that saw similar success and networking opportunities across the community. 

Additionally, Nate has organized an annual charity fundraiser to support SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders), a nonprofit that advocates for LGBTQ+ youth. This fundraiser opens his home to the GovCon LGBTQ+ community to raise funds for SMYAL’s programs, which aim to build self-confidence and critical life skills among LGBTQ+ youth. 

Nate’s leadership also led to targeted recruitment strategies to attract candidates from underrepresented groups, including the LGBTQ+ community. He implemented annual diversity training to build employee competency and understanding, ensuring that RP Professional Services remains an inclusive workplace. 

Nate has had a dynamic career background, as Chief of Staff of the Office of Administration and Senior Advisor to the Assistant to the President, Contracting Officer at the U.S. General Services Administration, and Vice President at Wolf Den Associates, LLC, among many other leadership positions.
